Phil founded Servant Capital, LLC and Servant Capital Advisors, LLC in 2018. His goal in founding the firms was to serve others: to share his seventeen years of institutional investment management experience with investment partners, high net worth families and individuals to help them grow their net worth for the primary purpose of engaging in philanthropy through impactful charitable contributions.
Prior to founding Servant Capital, Phil was a Principal at Centerbridge Partners, a hybrid private equity firm and hedge fund based in New York with $25 billion in assets under management, from 2008 to 2017. At Centerbridge he invested in and served on the board of directors of companies ranging in size from $100 million to $500 million in revenues across a diverse set of industries including financial services, consumer products, industrials and real estate. Phil began his career in investment banking at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He graduated with high distinction from Indiana University with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting and earned his MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER.
Phil lives with his wife and four children in Carmel, Indiana.
